How do I add a listing? It couldn't be easier! In four easy steps you can have your property listed on our website for all to see over the Internet. Whether you are selling or renting your house you can add your property listing by clicking on this link "Add a Listing". Then follow the four easy steps described below.

(Note: our website requires that your browser accepts cookies. If your browser does not accept cookies then after you click on the 'add a listing' button you'll be redirected back to our homepage.) How do I edit my listing? After you have successfully published a new listing to our site, a confirmation email will be sent to you which will include a link that you can click on to edit your listing at anytime. If you don't receive your confirmation email, please check your spam folder as some valid emails get accidentally placed there. If you can't find your confirmation email, please contact us and we'll be happy to resend your confirmation email.
How do I remove my listing? After you have successfully added a new listing to our site, an email will be sent to you which will include a link that you can click on which will allow you to deactivate your listing at anytime.
How do I readd my listing? After you have successfully added a new listing to our site, an email will be sent to you which will include a link that you can click on which will allow you to reactivate your listing at anytime.
How do I syndicate my own listing? After you have successfully added or updated your property listing to our site, an email will be sent to you which will include a link that you can click on to direct you to a page that will provide html friendly code you can copy and paste into any other classified, blog or personal website of your choice.
I did not receive a confirmation email. Check your Bulk or Spam mailboxes because it may have accidentally been redirected there by your email's spam filtering. If not, you should contact us at support@lighthouselistings.com.
I cannot publish my listing. Listings that go unpublished for more than a week are subject to deletion. Attempts may be taken to contact you with a reminder to publish your listing before that time. If you can't publish your listing before the one week expiration date, it may be because it has already been published. Otherwise contact support for further assistance.
What is a featured listing? All paid listings will be considered a featured listing. The benefits of a featured listing are top placement above all other non-paid listings and the ability to include a thumbnail image of the property in the listing. A thumbnail image will also be provided to our syndicated partners. An example is displayed below.
I can't find my city. What can I do? If you can't find your city then email us at support@lighthouselistings.com and we will consider adding it for you. The reason why we don't list all cities is to streamline our site for users so they don't have to sort through too many unused options.
How do I renew my listing for another month? We will automatically notify you a week in advance via email of your listing's expiration date. In the email there will be a link that you can click on which will allow you to renew your listing at that time.
Why can't I upload my photos? We have standard requirements on the photos themselves which, if not met, may have caused your photos not to upload. Your photos cannot be greater than 1 MB each and they must have a file extension of any of the following: bmp, jpg, png, gif. We recommend that your images be reduced to under 200 kb each which also reduces the time it takes for the photo to successfully upload. Click the help icon for information on how to reduce your photos.
![]() How do I add or remove photos? You can add or remove photos in your slideshow at anytime. In your listing confirmation email click on the link under the section "To Edit Your Listing". Then, in the second step of the editing process you are allowed to add as many new photos that your listing package allows as well as remove any existing photos. Upload the first photo you would like to appear in your slideshow in the "Photo 1" box and the second in the "Photo 2" box and so on. You accomplish this by first clicking on the "Browse" button and navigating to the photo stored on your computer. Then you click on the "Add Photo" button to begin the upload process.

Can I add a link to your site? Yes, most definitely. We encourage everyone to share our site. Whether it be a link on your own site, a link on a public blog, a link in an email you send to a friend or any other creative way you can think of to share the many great property listings on our site.
My PropertyID# for QuickSearch doesn't work? All PropertyID# for QuickSearch now require a 3 letter prefix. Northern California Sales are "CNS" and Northern California Rents are "CNR". This is to support future regions.
How do you automatically syndicate listings? We provide ad syndication to Google. This means, when you publish an ad on Lighthouse Listings, it is also distributed to our partner(s). This allows you to post your property listing once and have it listed on multiple websites. Currently, we syndicate all listings to Google which instantly provides greater visibility for all our ads. We syndicate all current listings to Google four times per day. You can expect to see your listing on Google in about 1-2 business days. In order to view your listing on Google, enter a search criteria that matches your property listing, such as city and state, number of bedrooms, keywords in your summary or description, etc.
What is the security code? When sending any correspondence through our website, the security code is the image with the letters and numbers. You enter what you see into the security code field. This is used to prevent unnecessary spam to all recipients.
I can't find my property using the search feature? Make sure that you are selecting the correct criteria that will return the correct result for your property. If you are searching for a property for sale, make you you also click on the "More" link to expose additional search criteria which may be effecting your search.
